Innovation: Filtration Manual
In order to support our customers during the filtration process more efficiently we summarized over 30 years of knowledge in a manual.
The manual is a detailed description which contains occurring problems of filtration, determines its causes and describes the respective solutions on 60 pages.
Attached you can find short extracts from the manual.
Please contact us, we would be pleased to offer you our manual.

The importance of filter presses in industrial enterprises is generally underestimated. In many cases, however, the capacity of a system depends on its key point, the filter presses.
We offer more than 25 years of experience in calculation and designing of filter plates made of different materials.
We are familiar with materials like cast iron, aluminum, polypropylene, PVDF and CFRP as plate materials.
PP, PVDF, EPDM, TPE, FKM and other elastomers are well known to us as membrane materials.
We have more than 25 years of experience in solid-liquid filtration in various sectors such as:
- sugar, palm oil, agar-agar, yeasts in the food industry
- silica, titanium dioxide, dyes, acids in the chemical industry
- metal concentrates, tailings in the mining industry
- water/wastewater in environmental technology
Our offer also includes:
- designing of filter plates according to required pressures and temperatures as well as selection of suitable materials
- analysis of filtration processes and realization of capacity increases
- performance of filtration tests on site regarding capacity and quality optimization
- engineering opinion on the performance of filter presses working with chamber plates or membrane filter plates
- expertise on the quality and design of filter plates and membrane filter plates
- training of employees in the field of filtration
Our Products:
Carbon filter plates (CFRP) offer important advantages compared to common materials:
- High temperatures are allowed on suspensions for filtration. Chamber plates have similar dimensions compared to steel or cast iron. They are, however, considerably lighter and show better thermal insulation properties, resulting in a better workplace safety. The risk of industrial accidents caused by burns is much lower for carbon filter plates than for metallic materials. Furthermore, the thermal energy remains in the suspension and is not emitted at the filter.
- Heating plates for cake drying in the so-called "hot filter press" can also be manufactured from carbon fibers.
- The lower weight of the filter plates is advantageous when installing and removing them at the filter press. Compared to metal plates or "high-temperature plastics", carbon plates therefore permit a faster and safer workflow. In case of large filters, the weight reduction allows for a lightweight design of the filter press, paving in turn the way for lighter foundations and building constructions.
- Capacity increases in the filter press can be achieved with a change to carbon plates. Due to the thinner web thickness more chambers or filter cake, respectively, can be placed in the press at the same packet length. Furthermore, the carbon plates offer technical advantages, as the plates are statically stable and the filter cake has a uniform shape regarding thickness:
- faster filling of the chambers
- faster and more efficient washing of the filter cake
- less need for wash water
With regard to the hot press in particular, the potential reduction of the heating time when drying the cake, has an effect on the capacity of the filter press.
- Sandwich designs are specifically used for big plate formats. In this respect, the costs for the plates can be reduced considerably by using, as required, different materials for the different sectors of the plates.
Quick connection couplings for membrane filter plates with single – squeeze connection
- The couplings allow for a fast coupling and decoupling of the membrane filter plates during a cloth or plate exchange process. The downtime of the press is significantly reduced, thus increasing the capacity of the machine.
- The coupling is designed as rotating joint and prevents a twisting of the squeeze tubes.
Flow indicators for membrane plates with single or central squeeze connection
- The equipment indicates leaky membrane filter plates during operation in the squeeze process. As a result, the complex search for leaky membrane filter plates can be eliminated and the downtime of the machine is reduced.
- A visual display at the plates, as well as an additional wireless signal transmission to the measuring station is possible.
